Founder Story

Parenthood is a transformative journey filled with joy, growth, and sleepless nights. The Cot and Cradle Company was founded by Mimi, a mother of two who, like so many parents, found herself rocking, pacing, shushing, and trying every gadget she bought at 2 a.m. during those early regressions.

After realising that white noise alone wasn’t enough to get her daughter to sleep, and still juggling her phone to play shushing sounds while restarting lullabies from a plush toy, she went looking for one product that could do all three. When she found nothing, she decided to create it. With no background in design but a strong problem-solving mindset shaped by years at Google, Mimi built her first 3D-printed prototype at home. Twenty-one prototypes later, Shushiie was born.

Today, Shushiie is trusted by parents around the world and has already been named Best Baby Sleep Aid of 2025 by MadeForMums. The brand continues to attract global press and retail interest for its science-led, design-forward approach to better baby sleep.
